It was truly an amazing day, Marathon Monday. I’ve never seen anything like it. The kind of energy that was being expended by these 22,500 runners, but also the energy of the crowd that was there to cheer them on. I can only imagine how it must have felt for the runners to be feeding off that energy for 26.2 miles. Truly amazing.
It was a lot of fun watching my little sister run, so much so that I might try to do it next year. GO HOOPS!!!

Everyone needs a great wine to take with them to the beach or their next bbq, for these summer functions I suggest Bandit Bullets. Thats right, grown up juice boxes, and you know what… the wine is actually pretty good, especially chilled on a cold day. You can find these juice boxes in many grocery stores or you can order online direct from Three Thieves, for you winos out there the link is included below. This wine is pretty dry but does carry some fruit with it making it really refreshing on a hot day and a great sidekick to almost anything you pull of the grill. And best of all, any passing cops shouldn’t look twice, after all you are drinking a juice box

I have been working late on various projects. In order to keep me going I turn on the The Smash Mix! by DJ Paul V. Paul is a DJ on Indie 103.1 in Los Angeles, and has his own Smash Mix section. He mixes all the latest and hotest mash-ups into one long 22 minute mix every Friday, but missed last friday due to computer issues. After 70 shows he has demonstrated his abilities and captured my ears. This one of my favorite things to turn on when I need to work through mundane coding or troubleshoot stupid issues as the beats change quickly and regularly to keep you on your feet. Continuing on the Greek theme, I have found a wonderful summer white that is perfect for your bbq, summer salads or seafood. Made from the Assyritko grape, this wine starts with a bit of fruit but finishes dry with great mineral taste. There is no oak to speak of and I would say that this is most similar to a sauvignon blanc from California, though there really is no comparision.
My one complaint is the wine is a bit pricy at 19.99 especially given the Wine Spectator raiting of 86 - However I think you can probably find it for cheaper online and it is a fantastic drinking wine, regardless of score.

So I’m hunting for a condo now here in Seattle. Being tech oriented, I am using the new Redfin service to find a place. I looked on Mercer Island this weekend. The place was over priced, and using Zillow I found that the place was bought in November 2005. They renovated and now want 70k more than they bought it for. It also is over priced by that much compared to the other condos in the complex. I decided to pass.
Now I’m looking in Kirkland and Bellevue. More to come as I continue my hunt for the right place.
